Last week I set myself the goal of rigging the Boomshroom so that I could start working on the AI this week. I managed to complete the Boomshroom rig within a day so I decided to move on to the AI for the Boomshroom which I managed to complete within a few days. This made me ahead of schedule as I had planned to give myself 7 weeks to complete the AI for the enemies. If I continue at this rate I should be finished in a few weeks.

This week I plan to finish off the Boomshroom with animations and ideally blockout the level.

Below are the discussions we had during our time in class. These discussions were about VFX, sound design and level design.

This explosion animation will be activated in parallel with explosion material which will sell the effect of the character exploding. There will also be a particle effect playing during this animation state to further sell the effect.

Above shows all of the separate Boomshroom animations working together with the AI states of the Boomshroom. Although these are not finalised animations I feel that they work well with the character and shows I am able to setup up animation blueprints and state machine for non player characters. This will aid me when creating the other two enemy characters.
