While I was developing QWERTY Road I discovered that I could get online feedback from other developers through Reddit every Friday as part of a weekly event called Feedback Friday on the gamedev subreddit (community/forum). Using this would be ideal to get some extra feedback from others who had never played the game before. I created a build of the game and posted it on the thread along with some information about the project and these were the responses I received.

First of all I’m glad this user enjoyed the shrinking and expanding ability as it a key part of the game. I agree with the point they raised about the slam ability not feeling like it has impact. This could be resolved by adding some sort of visual and audio feedback to the ability, for example, I could add particle effects when the player lands and have a louder landing sound when the player hits the ground. I’m not sure how to fix the issues with different keyboard layouts and I don’t feel like it is a priority to fix as the game is made to played with a controller.

This comment talks about how the during the periods of the game where the player is just moving to the next location there should be more “life“ in the level. This could be achieved by adding more props or interactive obstacles into the play space.
